If you have been on Instagram lately, you will have noticed that it's full of social activism slideshows beautifully designed and neatly curated for all to consume.

You might have also noticed the black & white challenge accepted movement whereby women were sharing B&W pictures of themselves on Instagram to promote female empowerment. And it's safe to say, that this seemingly unproblematic prompt created quite a reaction for and against it. From arguing over the origins of this campaign, to whether or not sharing a 'selfie' could even be considered activism.

Just a reminder that when you find yourself typing furiously and In the end, this challenge led to us being in a full-blown dialogue about all forms of activism, which as you know, we don't always agree.
