Why does my vagina bother you?
For our first episode back we started our conversation on the recent media outrage targeted at Finnish Prime Minister, Sanna Marin for being a woman that ‘had the audacity’ to go out on a night out with friends. This story hit a nerve with both of us for many reasons but at its core, it was the double standard.
The recent Roe VS. Wade decision by the Supreme Court here in the US had to be discussed. This one is raw for most women right now and neither of us were fully able to articulate how we were doing but what we did discuss was the infrastructure of the Supreme Court and how it impacts our vote this November. Ultimately this decision has taken women backwards and calls into question how women are valued in the United States.
As with most of our conversations there is always connective tissue to the tech in the moment. We open the conversation to the role of technology in both of these events. More to come on that next week.
